May I just add that I realized at the Skyshow this year that this radio does not do the FM radio broadcast range - 88MHz till 108MHz.

Re: Introducing the Uniden UBC93XLT Scanner
I have a problem guys, hoping someone can assist me in recovering my 93xlt...
It was working fine and I was getting heaps of signal breaking in through the channels I was scanning, so I started trying to lockout channels....
Bad mistake, next time I'll wear my glasses so I can what buttons I'm hitting.
Scanner turns on and off fine, beeps on, beeps off. Other than that, no sound, no signals located.
I reset with the 2 -9 - Hold - Power for 3 seconds, "clear" appeared, beeped and turned on. All preprogrammed (by me) gone, as warned.
Still the same, squelch wide open, volume up, no hiss, programmed a UHF CD frequency, turned UHF CB transceiver on to same, transmitted, scanner ignored it.
HELP!!! What have I done? What can I do to restore it?
Chris

Dumb question, but have you checked your antenna?
Colin.

But now it's weird. One for the memory banks, the human ones.
I left it on scanning bank 6 and after a couple of hours, received a signal. Oh Joy! It's working again.
Weird. Coincidentally the rechargeable batteries went low, it started bipping the warning.
Another set of freshly charged batteries in, reprogramming and it's fine.
Weird. I'm wondering if one of the batteries is bad or one was charged the other not. I may be on the wrong tram but it's all I can figure.
Thanks for your reply.
Chris
btw, I'm in Melbourne but this forum was the only site I could find that mentioned this critter.
