What frequencies do typical marine radars operate on? Also does anyone know what frequencies ultrasonic level transducers operate on?

According to this Wikipedia article, marine radars operate either between 2 and 4 GHz or 8 and 12 GHz.

Doing a similar search for ultrasonic transducer frequencies brought up another Wikipedia article which says: "Systems typically use a transducer which generates sound waves in the ultrasonic range, above 20,000 hertz, by turning electrical energy into sound, then upon receiving the echo turn the sound waves into electrical energy which can be measured and displayed."

Hope this helps :)

Hmm thinking:

"K 18–27 GHz 1.11-1.67 cm from German kurz, meaning 'short'; limited use due to absorption by water vapour, so Ku and Ka were used instead for surveillance. K-band is used for detecting clouds by meteorologists, and by police for detecting speeding motorists. K-band radar guns operate at 24.150 ± 0.100 GHz. "

So if you were transmitting that frequency from the front of your vehicle.......
