what do they do when the police talk on local in lets say Armadale when they are chasing a poi

oh and by the way is there still any chance of seeing a pic of you set up in the mystery machine turbo, at least thats one we know that has a scanner

Nice vids celestial :)

I've created a monster. First local news cars and links vans, then scanner gear and eastern states vehicles, now all 3 of the Perth media choppers. Well done all. (Still no GWN or WIN cars though  )

Celestial - I noticed that the 7 and 10 choppers were filmed from inside their properties. 8) Are you in the media game??

BTW did you get the PMs i sent you :?:

Unfortuneatley I think I spied someone with a big camera wearing a GWN cap, didn't get the chance to go talk to him, so tried finding his car, but with no luck. Oh well 1 out of 2 ain't bad :)

GWN News car in Perth is a dark navy blue Commodore wagon with bright yellow signage on doors (and bonnet from memory?). Last time i was in Kalgoorlie their GWN car was a 4WD (Holden Jackaroo i think) with the same colour scheme.

Hey Green Bastard. Not of *THAT* particular Subaru  , but i think i have the older tan coloured one being used for a multi-cam shoot for some BMX racing. God knows where they are though. Probably with the other photos you've been asking me for for years now

do you guys carry portable scanners at the abc

Hey Thrill, we haven't had portable scanners in ABC news cars for many years now. Not worth the hassle for cammos when the whole world communicates by mobile phone. Our Chief of Staff, and crime reporter have scanners in the office and filter out what they want, and we just get told where to go.

Only myself and a former cammo, now editor, who are really into the scanning thing at the ABC. I have an OLD Realistic PRO-32 handheld scanner that i bought second hand about 15 years ago, and it's still going strong.
