Difference with P1 and P2

Post by gkoutlis »

Guys, this may be a dumb question, but I am sure there are others that want to know the answer to this question.

Following yesterday's Toxic Chemical Spill where cars where given Priority One to get there....my question is;

What is the difference with Priority One and Priority Two in the above example - A Chemical Spill - Does a Priority One allow the car to go faster than Priority Two to get to the scene????

I would greatly appreciate everyone's response into this...

Mr G 8)

Thanks Jmmw - I appreciate your response...

I do understand - I mean VKI was asking for any VF/VR and or VP vehicles with Priority One Class driver for the initial response to the Toxic Chemical Spill yesterday...so thanks again 8)

While we are on the topic of priority codes - any chance someone could list the new codes somewhere? The ones we have are quite outdated and there are quite a few missing. Pretty sure someone has already asked, but not sure if it's going to happen?? :? I would do it myself but I'm not 'in the know' of all the codes 8)

You've hit the nail on the head :) In order to post an updated list, we need updated information...

311 = Serious Assult
312 = Theft
313 = Unlawful use of Motor Vehicle

315 = MVA (Traffic Accident) with/without injuries
316 = MVA (Traffic Accident) with Fatality ??
317 = Driver is DUI - Driving under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs
318 = Hit & Run MVA
319 = Traffic Regulations Offence
320 = Traffic Hazard - Car broken down blocking traffic?
321 = Traffic Holdup
322 = Traffic Lights out
323 = Abandonded Vehicle
324 = Abandonded Stolen Vehicle
325 = Assult
326 = ???? No idea
327 = ???
328 = Disturbance
329 = Domestic
330 = Alarm from Alarm monitoring Company
331 = Building Fire
332 = Other Fire (Car????)
333 = Duress Alarm
334 = Person Collapsed (Drunk - non serious)
336 = Premises found Open/Unsecured

The last two digits define the task. The first defines the Priority.

Mr G , your 251's (vehicle pursuit) don't exsist anymore, they are now 126.

I was there when they flicked the switch

Dear Chicky,
Sorry to hear about your minor MVA - and do wish you a speedy recovery - and thankyou for stepping up to the challenge to help us out - No doubt we will have more people to let us know the correct job codes as they stand at the present time...

Take care
