police codes

do the police use codes like 10-4 or like that. if so what are the codes

As George said, the WA Police don't use ten codes. It's an American thing that's rapidly losing popularity even in that country. (As of 2005, the US government said that "plain language" should be used instead where possible).

WA Police do have job codes - and those codes are available from a sticky at the top of this section of the forum...
