There is no 'set number'. The amount on antenna's is in relation to the equipment on board.

TADIS, radio, mobile phone. These are some of the usual ones on metro vehicles.

Well there are quite a number of that can be attributed to the following on the vehicles.

- TARDIS
- Radio [music]
- Two Way Radio
- Mobile Phone
- GPS

On a side note My Vehicle has 4!

I think this raises an even better question, what are your four for?

- Radio [All cars have them]
- 2-Way Radio
- Mobile Phone

Actually, I've made a mistake. I've only got 3 The GPS, does not have an 'antenna'

Here are a selection of photos of WAPOL vehicles. The most I have counted is 4. However, they are not the same across the fleet, all are quite different.

You can find pics in this forum of WAPOL cars with HF antennae as well (eg Codan 9350 or similar. like this http://www.radiospecialists.com.au/Coda ... 080%25.JPG)

What about the large one thats on the back of some vehicles.

Also my car has no Antennas, and no it doesn't have a shark fin either...

Probably built into the rear window like mine, or you don't have a radio in your car. :D

the large one on the back, mounted on the bumper (?) i've only seen on highway patrol. That is the 2-Way.

Like a radio that you can listen and talk as well? I suspect most country stations have a car or two with them.

A two way? Police have switched over to 3-way to enable the new digital encrypted transmissions.
