German Sirens on Mike Bikes?

Earlier this evening x 2 Mike Bikes responded to a hit and run I believe on Southport Street. Upon seeing the Mike Bikes roar past their sirens sound something very similar to a European / German siren.
Anyone else under that impression?

Well they appear to (from what I've heard but its been a looooooooong time since I have now) use a different sirens obviously from a normal car size, so I'd guess it sounds different to everything else but unfortunately I can't comment on the current type.
Can you find a clip that demonstrates the sound?
