Whats the Frequency to this fire for WAPOL - I can't get anything on any of my Freo channels

If you're in or near Freo try FESA channel 51 - 78.050Mhz.

Fire is out without too much damage to building - no one was injured.

I work at a uni, and i am a student pilot - not to mention a volunteer to assist in TA's in First aid etc - is this ok?

You forgot the guardian angel bit and an SJA paramedic in training!
I gathered you worked at the Uni, are you a lecturer/teacher or something??
