Appreciate your efforts Mr Bonez but however it looks like the South West District will be switching over to Digital by the end of 2009. CAD and TADIS "Lite" put on-line today at Bunbury...

Another area soon to go :(

Cheers CC :)

There was an article in the South Western Times on Thursday with a photo of a couple of police showing off the TADIS Lite unit. I wont bother putting up an external antenna for the live feed, I'll just stick with it as it is at the moment. I am still aiming to get some sort of antenna I can use inside the house that is better than the rubber ducky, which should pretty much cut out all of the noise in the stream. There's a fair bit of it there at the moment :)

I've found that they are still doing a lot of jobs over the radio and also even doing license/vehicle checks so perhaps not every single police vehicle is carrying TADIS Lite just yet.

TADIS = Fully optioned in-car or desktop setup.
TADIS Lite = Portable hand held unit.

Instead of buying/ borrowing an inside antenna. How about making a coaxial dipole. Easily made, can be mounted on the window relatively easily and is discrete and best of all efficient (and really cheap).

Is the Bunbury feed down due to storms?

Yes, we had lost power here this morning for an hour and a half, and two brief interruptions between 4:30 and 6pm. It's back up now.

Is there still a problem with this feed?? I have been trying to open it for a few days now and getting error or 'file not found' responses. I have previously been able to open it with my Windows Media Player without any problems.

Sorry guys, I took the feed down due to such shitty reception - until such time as I can work out a better solution. It should not be too long, the feed will more than likely be back up at some point over the weekend - will post again when it's up.

Cheers

Everything is now licenced for the Digital Switchover for the SW Region :-(

Better get those antenna's pointed to Ch11 at Jarrahdale where good comms can still be heard right thru to Albany Base from the Perth Metro Area :-)
