UQ Vehicles

Can anyone tell me where UQ vehicles come from? (e.g. UQ 102-116) I listen mainly to Fremantle channel, and particularly on weekends there seem to be up to 6 of these that come on channel around 2200/2300 hrs for tasking. I have looked on the spreadsheet (BTW - excellent job, congrats to the author and contributors...

), but it doesn't tell me much more. It seems like they are there to help out on busier nights...any further info on them...... Thnx

Thanks for the comments re: spreadsheet.

All I know about the UQ vehicles is that they are from Regional Support and tend to cruise around a police district supporting the regular beat officers. The again, I may be wrong but am happy to be corrected!

Regional Operations Groups-ROG's.

Maylands Academy, hear them all the time on ch21.

So they are new recruits in training then? I have noticed they are also the only ones to leave an 'AR' (attendance record???) these days too. A year ago I recall everyone tasking offering one to VKI.... Thnx for that

No there not recruits in training.... Academy hasn't been at Maylands for some time..... ROGS are basically utilised by the busier channels as extra tasking vehicles.............. and you will find AR's will be a thing of the past as most things now go on computer.

Go for a drive past the (old) academy in Maylands and you will see a stack of them parked there.

I went for a cruise past there about 4 months ago... all I could see was orange striping everywhere

I have searched, and with no luck. I've been in Australia less than a year so I still don't know where a lot of places are located.
