For those interested, Today/Tonight is doing a special report on the Perth Watch House - airing on Monday night (tomorrow).

If you wanted to see what Custody Officers deal with on a daily basis then I dare say that you'll get a glimpse via the footage shown.

A little birdie told me that they will be doing a live cross or two at the watch house and a certain WARSUG mod might even be on duty during those times

Should be worth a look-see.

Froggles - I beleive you were spotted last night on the Exclusive report on the Perth Watch House last night - It's good to put a face to the name ;)

I am very glad to be on the right side of the law - it seems to me that - Watch House, can become a hell on earth some nights. And I definatley liked the tactic that was used to stop serial "spitters" by covering their face with a towel - I think that's great thinking.

Alot of admiration and respect who work in the Watch House... Didn't know up until now... You think the message will get through to some on the not so right side of the law?

I didnt manage to get my mug on camera - I did try though :o

The Watch House is not a very nice place to go and there are times it can feel like a bit of a 'hell on earth' as you say.

I think the message will get through to the good law abiding folk and make them perhaps think twice before doing something silly.

I wonder if anyone recorded it... I only got to watch the first 10 mins before I had to run off and do some work.

35k a year base?? That is an absolute disgrace, I wouldnt be doing that job for any less than 55-60k!! I hope the penalties make up for it.

47k is slightly better but its still not great. 35k is what they said they were getting paid on today tonight, I thought it was a bit low.

Yes, based in East Perth but pop up all over the place - Most usually at RPH and the Airport.
