Hi Guys,

I applied last about October last year, did my PEE, Psych, RJP and I have my physical evaluation coming up in a few days. I heard that they will not be a place in the academy untill 2011 due to the numbers. Anyone else hear about this?

That sounds about right, although you may be able to sneak into the July squads if your lucky enough and they are still going ahead. There is the two squads that are starting in two weeks and then the next squads to start are scheduled for July, and then the end of the year. There were squads scheduled for March and April which have both now been canned... So it looks like it will be another quiet year...

That's a bummer, oh well not in a hurry. Any reason they canned those two extra groups?

Passed my Physical. I also did my final health assessment, Fingerprint/DNA and bankruptcy check approx 2 weeks ago. Can anyone tell me what I can expect from here and when I would be hearing from them if I am in the pool or not? The officer at I spoke to at the police station when I was getting my particulars taken thinks that they don't make you do the final health assessment and wait too long?

Also donks have you heard anything about your class?

Given that the next intake is in June/July (for Police Officers) they will usually send out letter 4-6weeks prior to intake....so You would be expecting a long wait mate. When I got in it took nearly 10-12weeks to get my squad letter. Plus, they are really have a freedom of choice now on who they wish to pick (I hear they are getting 40 applications a week!).....

Hey mate. I have been in the actual selection pool since September 2009. Since then a few classes have been canned so im just waiting to hear back for the July intake. should get some correspondence in around May.... Hoping i will get selected as i've been in the pool for a while however i do understand that there are probably quite a few others who have been in for the same amount of time if not longer!. good luck and let us know if you hear anything as i will too!.
