Nothing special really. Just a group of 19 other recruits and I got put into the squad and basically will be training together for the 6 months. I believe there will also be a blue squad starting at the same time.

robbage - As there can often be several cadet squads progressing through the Academy together, simultaneously and overlapping, each squad is identified by a colour (gold squad, red squad, blue squad etc), as opposed to being given a number or letter (squad 1, B squad, charlie squad etc)

Here's a quick update for anyone interested.....

I rang Recruiting because I was "double checking" they had received my required documents, and apparently I'm just waiting for the hard copy of my Medical results to be signed off by the WAPol Doctor. Once they receive that and he/she has signed off on it, I progress to the next stage.

Congrats kilmo!

There's been a little rumor among the ranks that the academy is looking at pushing a large number of recruits through early next year. So much so that they are considering running afternoon/night classes to accommodate.

Seems like the best time to be in the pool is right now, so good luck!
