The run of attacks on WA police stations continued overnight, with an attack on vehicles parked at Warwick police station.

Police said seven vehicles, both police and private cars, had their tyres either slashed or deflated.

Officers were alerted to the damage when a police officer left the station after night duty early this morning.

While the station itself was not damaged or any vehicle broken into, police have begun an investigation.

The attack followed the firebombing of two cars parked at Warwick police station in December.

In the same month, an arson attack at Joondalup station caused damage estimated at more than $500,000 while a deliberately lit fire at Murdoch station caused minor damage.

Also the new's reported that the attack on Joondalup station has forced them to gut the entire place and start again.

I don't understand what motivated people to do this crap. All it does is waste money on fixing the police cars and to fix the police station when it could have been spent increasing coppers pay or buying a new piece of equipment for them. Does anyone agree?

i agree and more to the point what if those cars needed to be used for ugent dutys some ones life could of been at risk while waiting for cars from other stations i do wonder if there was any increased crime in the area last night after that happend

You have to also remember that Warwick may have taken on some of Joondalup's vehicles, there were a couple of NJ callsigns in there.

Also the fact that it wasn't noticed until later in the morning would indicate that those vehicles wouldn't need to be used but none the less its a stupid act that would THEN leave the vehicles out of action for that day while new tyres are fitted.

I don't understand why they don't spend a tiny bit of tax payers pocket change on installing some electronic gates, barb wire and security cameras like most other police complexes.

You'd think the lesson would have been learnt the first time. I don't know or care who the current police minister is and CBF looking it up but he/she needs a swift kick up the butt.

Its such a joke that this happen. People in the community are going to know who did it. A crim can't have the audacity to attack a police station and not feel the need to brag about it especially after making the news

Glad that he was foiled and I really do hope that he is in a bad way and needs treatment at a hospital. Well done to the constable that took him out.

This dude has got to be dumber than a bag full of door knobs. Maybe the cops will have better luck when he tries again in a couple of weeks.

...and for the record, I'm all for the use of as much violence as necessary...what he struggled so yes we had to tazer, Baton and toe cap him to subdue him. If he hadn't done it or hadn't struggled then he wouldn't be sore!
