G Day Guys
Ive had good few years with listening on the airways and quiet lost now with the silence. The knowlage of what was happening in your erea was a great peace of mind, now like many others seeking info towards digital scanners im looking at getting.

Digital scanners won't help you hear WAPol digital transmissions as they are encrypted.

digtal scanner are like normal scanner really. Your not gunna hear the police ever again. sorrry boys to say that i know it all hurts youse

Yeah certinaly nights like that know when to lock the doors but it was good to know at times also im running with a small whip scan arial at moment got a hold of a disk cone arial (It should help with reception yes? ) having fun getting back to the days of FESA SJA etc[quote="robbage"]

It will help if you're listening to a broad range of frequencies. It won't if you're listening to a narrow selection. Discones have no gain. Handy if you're scanning VHF and UHF together. Not convenient for your car or mounted directly onto a handheld :-)

It will help if you're listening to a broad range of frequencies. It won't if you're listening to a narrow selection. Discones have no gain. Handy if you're scanning VHF and UHF together. Not convenient for your car or mounted directly onto a handheld :-)[/quote]

yep bit big for car have found its made listening more clear with many stations and more of use now scanning between VHF - UHF helped me get few more FESA channels ive been hunting quite a bit for more channels to listen to now found a good few security ones keeps you up to date with a few happenings.
