Stuff like this has been happening on a few channels lately. Some times you can hear all cars but not VKI. It's going to get worse…

There are issues with the analogue patch which normally they try and fix asap. In this case seeing the patch will be pulled in just over a week they will just let it run as the cost can't really be justified.

That's right Mr G.

Digital - No analogue patch = no police scanning.

Make the most of it while you can guys.

Great ,after 14yrs out of the force i went and bought a scanner on Saturday to see what was happening around the traps. And now nada.

That was a waste of $160.

Maybe I should have looked here first.

Encrypting the signal will kill the alot of fun for alot of people and positive promotion of the Service.

Paranoia was never a foreign thing in the job.

With all due respect here... - It's been all over the media in recent years, and very well discussed within this forum - heaps of "notice" has been given, the question was a matter of time of when... it would happen...

I'm surprised you didn't get the memo! (yes kidding )

And yes frankly they could have gone nil analogue patch many moons ago if they wanted to since all (well most) vehicles have been converted for months now, I think its been what 2 years since the roll out started?

When the radios go dead we will give it a moment of silence for our fallen transmission. And then another few thousand moments because you won't hear anything

Me thinks your going to have to elaborate on that one. How do you know what channels to program? Are the digital channel encrypted yet?
