Olympic Relay

Post by jasonjag »

In a scene during the Olympic Torch relay in Canberra, I notice police car's marked very simular to ours and one simular to our Hwy Patrol cars with no lights on top, but red chequered on side like a S on its side from back to front on the side of car.

Not sure why you need to listen to the police whilst driving down the Brand highway. How about just "don't speed". It seems like such a shock horror thing to the average punter.

I drive from Perth to Cataby and back on a weekly basis and there are that many f-wits on the road it's not funny.

If people did the speed limit and overtook when safe, our road toll would be much lower right across the board.

Just my 2c.

hey Bonez,

thankfor Your reply. and ur 2 cents worth.

my reason to have the gero police channel is to hear if there any crashes up head or road blocks.
It has nothing to do with My speed. i dont neeed to speed to gero, i wont be runnning late at all.
As my soccer game is on saturday. and im leaving friday. GPS says it only take me 5 hrs.

thank again for your post.. :D

Well I'm just trying to find out the reason behind your specific quote of "damn double points".

Why do points even come in to the equation if you don't speed? What relevance do points have to a crash or road block?

Nope I'd be laughing at the hoon as he drives past thinking everything is swell...what I do everytime I go past a camera/Police Laser. Because I would rather they were caught and dealt with properly. Secondly it's against the law, and it tells you that in your learning to drive handbook...or at least it used to when I was learning.

I rest my case.

No, I would not do the same as you playworth.
Speeding fines are a voluntary tax. Think of it like that.

If they were all of a sudden taken away from our society then governments would need to come up with the money reasied somewhere elese.

I say let the idiots speed, because they are vonuntarilily agreeing to pay the tax, which means I don't have to.
