December 21, 2007 09:00am

A 22-YEAR-old man has had his car impounded by police after they clocked him driving at 107km/h over the speed limit on a major Perth highway.

Police recorded the red Holden Commodore speeding at 207km/h in a 100km/h zone of the Tonkin Highway near Champion Drive, in Perth's south, at about 2pm yesterday.

The car was seized and impounded for 48 hours under Western Australia's anti-hoon laws.

The 22-year-old Forrestfield man has been summonsed with one count of reckless driving and will appear in court at a later date.

Travelling at around 56m a second, would have loved to see his face when he got the red and blues turned on him...wonder what his excuse was? "Excuse me officer, but I'm a dickhead" :smt021

Wow thats quick - 201600 kmh!!!

These people dont deserve their cars. Maybe they should take them off them and give them to old people to drive. Then then can see them occasionally puttering around. That may cause even greater frustration to the hoons.

if he crashes, he'll probably crash into a) a pedestrian or b) another vehicle in the opposite direction.

WHY CAN"T HE CRASH INTO A SEMI-TRAILER!!!
