undercover car

Post by donks »

I was waiting for some friends outside the cinema at Garden City on Thursday night when I noticed the VE Commodore I had parked next to had a rear mounded LED light bar on the parcel shelf. The car had only 1 antenna on the front window, had pursuit rims (hidden behind hubcaps) but had no front deckblaster or TADIS.

A few mins later a man came out of the cinemas dressed in business attire and got in a drove off....

was thinking maybe this was just a work car rather than an active police car??

Well yes its most likely not a general duties car, could be any from any one of the many different devisions etc I guess not fitted with a radio, just a mobile phone (I guess if they ever went to a scene that needed a radio they can just take a portable, but it may just be a crime car or someone that gets called to a job via mobile, and it may just have a blue beacon inside to stick on the roof rather than a deckblaster?)
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

As discussed previously there is no such thing as an "undercover" car unless it is literally under a cover. They are called unmarked cars because that is exactly what they are...unmarked.

1 antenna = 1 radio........deck blaster on floor probably because it suits them. Only cars with digital radio/TADIS have the three antenna.

Sure the rear Lightbar wasn't the brake light? Maybe the aerial could have been for mobile phone or a cb radio.
