What does TARDIS stand for

What does TARDIS stand for

Can anybody tell me what TARDIS stands for ( i think its spelt that way) with the new despatch system

i think RDIS stands for

Radio Dispatch Information System

and am completely unsure of the TA bit but is it:

Terminal Aided :?:
To stop displaying signatures, go to the User Control Panel > Board Preferences > Edit display options > Display signatures > No > Submit

Nice one Gav :P but yes its TADIS not TARDIS. Although people pronounce it tardis as saying ta-dis just doesn't sound right!

I have been using this system for 12 months. It has gone down a couple of times but has been invaluable for patrols.

If you are going to bag it, at least back it up.

It was spelt TARDIS in one of the newsbeat mags.

to all the police on this site that actually use TADIS can you let us know what you think.Is ti good or a pain in the butt.What sort of things can you use it for.I have heard VKI sending jobs to cars but what else can you use it for.Thanks in advance for your help.

And more importantly as it's windows based, have they installed Freecell or Solitaire on it for you all!?

Although Not a cop myself - I do beleive they can run - vehicle regos up - and change the status of the unit from Available tasking - to Enquiries - Special Duties etc (i think)
