Im not quite sure where you are coming from with those questions Michael. Personally i think if you are trying to blame the police for this persons actions then you are drawing a pretty long bow. It is very simple in my eyes , If a police officer asks you to stop.. then you stop. If you choose to do other than what a police officer asks you then you choose the consequence and the outcome. I agree the the aborting of pursuits could sometimes be warranted in the interest of public safety, although this leaves the offender able to become involved in future pursuits which is obviously not in the public interest, this incident is a whole different circumstance.

Well mate if you are going to pose a loaded question you should always expect some loaded answers. Not really having a go at you but I am just not sure what is to be achieved by pondering such things in a radio scanning forum. Like i said already I`m not attacking you and perhaps i misunderstood your approach , we all have opinions and thanks for voicing yours. :D

Foot Chase vs Car Chase,

Two different incidents.

two different circumstances.

two different outcomes.

two completely different consequences.

Using a car chase to compare to a foot chase is out of the question.

I can't help but feel for the poor cops involved. They were SIMPLY just doing their job.

The baddies must've been up to no if they were legging it to start with.

Regardless of the whole good vs bad argument- In reality, anybody of a half decent nature would feel some degree of shock, no matter what the surrounding issues are if they themselves were confronted with a life/death situation.
