Maybe you mean AH703? (Midland district motorcycle)

Alpha and Delta sound similar.

Said properly they shouldn't, that's the whole idea behind the phonetic alphabet, as I'm sure you are aware.

I am. Even under good conditions phonetics can be misheard. (eg echo and hotel) People rush saying things, or half-hear things.

Hey Guys

I just bought a new GME TX3420. Its mainly to use as a radio for work, however it has a scanner for the frequency range 40? - 507 mhz. Are most of the Police frequencies listed at the start of this thread in the sticky still relevant to this frequency range. Will i still be able to pick up most of the frequencies listed, or are they a bit outdated?

Thanks heaps

Those freq's are still current so it should work.
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

Yep. Has been for a few days now. An old list I have says that channel is a solar-powered repeater so maybe they've just forgotten about it and have left it linked in...?

It will work fine until the police fully go to digital. Then, nothing.

When they say 'have got contractor here now' or 'waiting for contractor' is the contractor the coroner contractor for body removal?

That job code list is unfortunately outdated.

For example a :316 is no longer a fatal, it is now a tow job
126 is a pursuit (but see below)
327 is a business premises alarm
330 is a house alarm
701 is a LOTBKF for an armed robbery only (again see below)

The best way to understand the job codes is to take the first number out of the job. The first number relates to the priority and the following two number are standard right throughout the list of priorities.

IE: 12 (is a stealing) (1 to 4 is the priority of the job and 7 to 9 means it is not an active tasking job). So a 12 job would work something like this. If the offence has just occurred it should be placed on CAD as (3)12. A vehicle attends but the offender decamps. A LOTBKF is generated and it is given the designator (7)12. All LOTBKF are a 7. If a forensic job is required it will then be cloned to a (9)12.

The priority of the job is primarily to measure the agencies grade of service in relation to meeting service targets. Priority 1 to 3 each have a target response time to which WAPOL has to report to the government.
