JUST A QUESTION FOR ANYONE OUT THERE I WAS LISTENING TO MY SCANNER WHEN I HEARD A REPORT OF A EXPLISION BUT I DIDNT HEAR THE JOB CODE GIVEN BUT THE LIST SAY ITS A 432 BUT A PIROTY 4 DIDNT SOUND RIGHT AS JB105 ROCKED UP IN MINUTES..
DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHY AND EXPLISON HAS BEEN GIVEN A PIROTY 4?

432 is a Grass Fire / Explosion Report not priority 4

The best way to understand the job codes is to take the first number out of the job. The first number relates to the priority and the following two number are standard right throughout the list of priorities.

I found the police freqs list very useful
Now i can slowly train my mind up to remember which channels have which RPT's and are located in what locations.

anyone know whats going on with Freo Channel 469.000. Hav not heard anything all day on that channel.

Usually the frequencies listed are that of the repeater ie RX = repeater recieve, TX is repeater transmit.

have the police repeaters got ctcss tones on them , perhaps that would be a way of stopping unauthorised people from using them ,because i remember ch 50 had a problem with idiots getting on there and causing havoc

CTCSS isnt going to stop anything. Most modern scanners will scan for which tone is in use. It isn't an access control method.. just controls the opening of the squelch.
