Quiet on country roads

Post by Rockjet »

Spent the last 3 days in Mt Magnet, Meeka & Sandstone with work, never saw one police car except for FA101 parked out the front of the Cue pub. Maybe they were abducted by aliens.

Its funny you should also notice that.. I have not seen any police on the Albany Hwy for some time. I usually come across 2 or 3 during the run.

I spend a fair bit of time up near Cataby, bout half way between Perth & Gero, and let me tell you.... since they have moved all these speed cameras out of the metro area, they have been hammering Brand highway quite a bit.

I see highway patrol cars doing stationary laser work, as well as multinovas in the middle of nowhere.

The cops are supposibly focusing on country areas right now, so even though it may be quiet it some parts, they will probably pop up out of nowhere before you know it :)

We went up to Lancellin last Sat and didn't see one car the entire day.

Mt Magnet cover an enormous area...

I saw FO101 in Innaloo a few months back.

Sorry couldn't resist it Tom, but what was FO101 doing in a dunny....

Seriously, always see Highway Patrol on the Brand Hwy especially Eneabba to Cataby they use the in car radar. On a recent trip back from Perth I had an idiot pass me doing close to 150kph, he slowed back down to 80 trying to tick me off, then took off again. 10 mins later we passed him with an unmarked dark blue VZ with flashing dash lights parked up with him. We gave him a wave as we went past.

It must be hot up there: slamming down a few coldies at lunch time before heading back out on the road?
