As suggested by Tom, this thread is to discuss pursuits and other events like major operations.
The purpose of this thread is to make it easy to spot when there's something happening and to consolidate all the discussion in one spot to make it easier for people to follow...
Also, don't forget that if you have access to an IRC client, feel free to join others in the channel #radioscanner on Austnet to talk in real time.
Have fun

vk103 in pursuit of a stolen car around Kwinana. av207 took the lead P1 (class one vehicle, priority driver). speed up to 125 km/hr. chased offroad near kwinana beach road and up around into the train yard. av207 out of action, vk103 took over (4wd). cd505 sent priority 2 (stinger onboard). av212, av201, vr104, vh101 also dispatched. Car dumped near old Kwinana Bus station, 2 offenders nabbed in the bushes, one still being located.

Yeah that was funny when VK103 took over the pursuit when they went bush in the train yards with the smart arse comment of " And i think we'll be taking control again" Good effort all round on that one

The car that JC-409 was pursuing ended up crashing into a fence next to a house. No damage to the house, slight damage to the POI's car.
He is now in custody.

Hey Tom,
I heard it, they reckon it was a silver HSV Ute recent model, one of the coppers said yep its gotta be a HSV it had all the fancy body kit...
I Woulda thought they'd know a HSV Ute is called a 'Maloo' tisk tisk
Needless to say they lost the car on Reid Hwy heading towards the freeway estimated at doing 160km/h from one passing-by policeman.
They didn't get his rego or anything so this guy must've been flying like VKI said!
Poor Cops have got no chance of catching tricked up cars of that status in V6's. Bring back the V8's! Haha

Finally a bit of action on the Mirrabooka channel.
AZ203 has just had a confirmed stolen vehicle failing to stop in Nollamara.
ZM102 and ZM107 in the area searching for the vehicle which is a VL.
Car got away from AZ203.

Yeah it was a shame radiohead that nobody got close enough to the silver ute late last night as it would of been a good chase, he was flying.
After ZO103 lost the car near the Tonks, UQ108 picked him up further west on the Reid Hwy near Mirrabooka Ave and he just blew him away.
AZ204 saw him fly past lights with lights off doing an estimated 160km/h.
Didn't hear anything about it after that.
Any idea Walks??
