It's domestic gone really really bad, 1 adult (male) and 2 very very young children deceased. The Police are not looking for any other person at this stage. I got this information from Melbournes, channel 10, 10.30 pm news.

An unfathomable act of selfishness. My heart goes out the the mother and also to the children who's lives were cut tragically short. :(

Back up here guys - The Police this morning said that this was no murder suicide - and is treated as Suspicious

Read this first before making assumptions -

Police are treating the shooting of a man and his two young children in Redcliffe last night as suspicious.

Early media reports suggested the 34-year-old man killed his two children before turning the handgun on himself in his Redcliffe home yesterday, in Perth's east.

But police said today it remained unclear whether the deaths were a double murder suicide or not.
The children's 28-year-old mother returned to her Kanowna Avenue East home from a shopping trip at around 6.30pm yesterday to discover her family shot dead in a bedroom, police said.

They said her husband and two children, aged two and six years old, each had gunshot wounds to the head.

The handgun used to kill them was found at the scene.

An unnamed neighbour told the Ten Network that she heard arguing inside the house.

Neighbouring homes were initially evacuated by police as a precaution in case a gunman had been responsible and was still in the area.

Forensic experts examined the scene last night and detectives are interviewing family members and witnesses.

Mr G you beat me to it with this post. Unfortunatly the media has jumped to conclusion in order to get the story out quickly. If the police prove that it was murder on all accounts not murder suicide as first reported I hope the family try to sue the media for false reports. They have possibly damaged a now deceased persons reputation. Just goes to prove you don't believe everything you hear in the media.

Indeed. I'd be pissed if I were the wife and my husband was accused without proof.

From Mad Marsupials second post I guess it should have been clear the police did not think it was murder suicide as reported in the media. The TRG would not have been there for the deceased so to me that indicated they were looking for someone else.
