wanneroo road/reid highway this afternoon

Does anyone know what happened at this area this afternoon from about 2:30 - 8:00. I just heard 9 cars book off from here recently. Was there a major accident or something else? There were road closures as well.

Someone jumped off an overpass I believe near Wanneroo Rd.

There was a very small article on page 5 of today's "West". It said that a motorcyclist is in hospital with life threatening head injuries after falling from the Walderton Ave bridge over Reid Highway.
The way the article is written, it sounds like they are saying he jumped as it says he took off his jacket, helmet and gloves first...
