The TA Thread (serious & fatal)
Moderator: Bonez
One of my client lives near the scene of the Main Street accident and what from what I seen of the aftermath of the accident the car would have travelled some distance before coming to a stop after hitting one of the traffic light signs. The traffic light sign was on onthe front verandah of one of the house and a pine tree had been snapped in the accident as well. The occupents of the house were very lucky they were not also injured as a result. I would say SPEED was a big factor in the accident based on what I seen of the aftermath.

Ok no problems turbo, you've seen the incident scene, I haven't so I wouldn't have a clue on distances. Plus you've got the contacts Sounds like speed was the major issue then.

A traffic crash in Perth involving a car load of tourists from the United Kingdom has left one person dead and another seven people in hosptial.
Inspector John Gibson says a car carrying seven people from the United Kingdom and another vehicle collided in the northern Perth suburb of Bedford last night just after 11:00pm.
One of the tourists from the UK died at the scene.
Two were taken to Royal Perth Hospital, one of them in a critical condition.
Five other people, including the driver of the second vehicle, were taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening.
Inspector Gibson says it appears the vehicle carry the UK tourists lost control on a bend and crossed to the wrong side of the road.
It is understood the vehicle was only a short distance from its destination at the time of the crash.

Thanks for the extra input Turbo. You have helped clarify what I was trying to get across but put a better spin to it.Turbo wrote:Often the speedo gets stuck at the speed on impact. Dont know if it was the case with this one, but a towie at the scene told me they were doing 140km and if you see the distance from the point he lost control to the point of impact, I find that very believable.
