The TA Thread (serious & fatal)
Moderator: Bonez
I wasx going past this--there was an accident near by, but about 2-3km north of the accident police were directing traffic into the emergency lane. In the fast lane their was a blue, tent about 3x3 square metres, obviouusly covering something. traffic was idling from the accident scene, all the way up to the police.Bobby wrote:Fatal or a 338?
I was a little confused listening to what was going on there. I think there were two separate incidents, one initially thought to be a 215, but then changed to 338? The other was definitely at TA, but don't think a fatal one.
Anyone else happen to catch what was going on?
While I was stuck in traffic, about 200m before the tent an police, an ambulance came past us in fast lane,(forcing cars over). They were no longer then a minute with the police, when they came back towards us(opposing traffic)
after seeing all this, I still have know idea what was going on
I read yesterday that a man was walking in the emergency lane and died suddenly from natural causes.
Initially, it was thought he had been hit by a car, but this was not the case. All of the commotion caused some rubberneckers to have several accidents, one a little more serious than the others, but nobody severely injured.

On Roe Highway, a truck rollover between Nicholson Road and Willeri Road is also causing build-ups, with traffic possibly reduced to one lane.

Commercial radio this afternoon (from after 4pm) mentioned several times in their traffic reports, a TA "truck v ambulance" on Mounts Bay Road (near the 'boatshed'). Nothing on 'thewest.com.au' or 'perthnow.com.au' about it. Anyone have any other info??

Here is the news story re the police bike accidentcelestial_insight wrote:According to 6PR news at 10am, a copper came off his bike in Baldivis around 8am-ish, and the ambulance got a police escort to the hospital. I don't know anything else about the story at this stage, but first impressions make one wonder why this particular incident got a police escort.... hmmmm

There was a Sunday Times photographer with his yellow vest there - taking pics of the car on it's side etc - Just wondering if it ever made the news, and also if the occupants were ok?celestial_insight wrote:Doesn't ring a bell with me at the moment...
