Personally I think the coppers should take a more 'Carmageddon' approach to fleeing motorcycles.fly_on_the_wall wrote:LOL, ok, there is a very small exception. Sorry abit late here, but in regards to that, i live right beside there, and could hear POL. Also got a recording of the event:Chicky wrote:Short pursuit heard about 11ish this evening. Read Street x Safety Bay Road Waikiki. 2 heads on board. P2 given to P2 driver. Speed 135 km/hr in a 70 zone. Told to abort by DI just as the VOI lost control at the roundabout there. 2 in custody

Duration was only 3.5 minutes so it was a quicky, luckily they caught them as they lost control of the vehicle as VR105 was told to abort. Pretty intense though. The signal at the roundabout was put up this morning
Cheers

You're also assuming that abort means abort.. You know sometimes the radios are just so scratchy, you can't hear what's said

Isn't that normally when you can hear on the scanner the sirens have been turned off but you can still hear the revs as the officer says they have aborted the chase. Then a few minutes later you hear them in pursuit again? lolWhiskey1Urgent wrote:HEKTIK wrote: buddy they will be long gone once VKI aborts the chase 2 mins into it because of the high speed, count on it only thing that will keep up and maybe catch him is polair assistance

yes also, if a speed camera catches them, they just whack on the sirens and call it in to VKI stating they saw the vehicle again and are in pursuit and a red light camera or speed camera has sprung em, and they delete it ahhh..Donga wrote:Isn't that normally when you can hear on the scanner the sirens have been turned off but you can still hear the revs as the officer says they have aborted the chase.
