Seems there is/was a foot persuit in King Parks less than 20mins ago. Saw marked vehicle, mount the kerb and an officer run into the bush... followed from what I could see were some quad bikes following.

Hope they caught the little firebug lighter!

Any body pick up on what was happening over Rottnest this arvo? I heard Polair, R65, R471B(??) and several others doing a grid search or similar. I only caught chunks of it and some pulled out due to a front coming in.

Just a rant for a Friday morning.... The Kwinana Freeway, this morning.... Absolute standstill (Northbound) from Thomas Road. What gives the people the okay to utilise the Emergency lanes on both sides of the freeway as their own speeding strip??

Unless otherwise directed by Traffic Management or Police - the Emergency lanes should only be used for "EMERGENCIES" - i.e Broken down car or a car smash and people move there cars off the road.... In my hour of being stuck in the miserable stand-still, over 100 cars including trucks sped along the Emergency Lane without a care in the world.... [-X

End of rant.

Penalties too low. Get caught, you get a slap on the wrist fine. Chances of getting caught, minimal.

Same for the dimwits who drive for 1km down the left stopping lane so they can get to the left turn. Much fun when one of the cars in the real left lane is a cop.
