The Governor-General's official cars do not carry number plates, but simply depict a representation of the Crown of St Edward.

I've just spoken to someone who worked in Parliament House and they are certain that the only special plate is C1 for the PM and there are no c2,3,4 plates in standard use by The Commonwealth. If the PM or deputy/acting PM was in the car, the bonnet would carry a small flag as well. There should also be one territory per VIP vehicle. The C plates in this case will be for convoy ID.

EDIT: Cheers Chopper :)

Interesting use of the pull over tone, wonder why they didn't just switch to yelp.

Red stripe down the side is usually the district crash car/crash investigation (yes I won't drop the Major word).

Would hazard a guess they were going to a crash, vehicle coming the other way would more than likely be a general duties or such vehicle.

Edit: 720p Full Screen shows the vehicle as AG251.

It was AG251 as it has single red stripes... the NUMEROUS academy cars have orange hi-vis striping like a basic version of the old TEG cars...
