Back in the days pre rescue 65 a skydiving accident at York. SJA was sent to York with a trauma DR and the chopper met them up there to airlift the patient back to RPH.

Ambulance 41 was from Morley (it was one of the last Fords in the metro fleet)

These ambulances have red lights only, does anyone know when they changed to red and blue? just curious! \:D/

Probably around the same time the fire services and Police also changed, although i can't remember exactly when that was. Originally Police vehicles had just blue emergency beacons and ambulances and fire appliances just red. At some point the change was made so that all Emergency Service vehicles had both red and blue beacons, and of course more recently a move to red, blue and white.
