Struth,

I can't beleive coppers get paid almost the same rate as a bloody pizza delivery boy..... Where's the fair go for them when they get abused and spat at by stupid twats that do the wrong thing....

I would be more than happy to have my TAX PAYERS money go straight to the Boys & Girls of WAPOL as they are way more deserving of an increase in pay than some dole bluggers sitting around getting high and smashed - then getting out of control......

I say it's time the Government WOKE UP and start putting money from Multinovas and other fines, back into WAPOL to pay the officers of WAPOL who do a top job trying to protect citizens like you and me..... At the rate were going, hordes more Officers will resign to become a truckie as they pay heaps more - THEN ..... WHATS GOING TO RESPOND TO OUR EMERGENCIES?????????????

Just my 2 cents worth..... GIVE THEM AN ADEQUATE PAY RISE!!!!!!!

The pollies don't negotiate - they get their raise from the Salaries and Allowances Tribunal (I think) which is an independant body. It'd be nice to have the pollies negotiate just like WAPOL, nurses, teachers etc.

Love to see any pollie put their hands in their pocket and say give my raise to the Police. Doubt it will happen, none of them have the guts to do that.

How often do governments get re elected or given power on the back of the old law and order rhetoric...

Not to mention MP's don't even have to justify their increase...

Gday,

I agree that the police should get a pay rise.
Just as a comparison, I drive buses and get paid $20/hr

The coppers are getting paid $2/hr more than me and they deal with
tonnnes more crap than I have to put up with, heck if i see someone fighting at a bus stop I can keep going , the cops have to sort it out.
Maybe I will go as far as to say that the hourly rate should be doubled, just my opinion here.
