"A full afternoon of police-style entertainment will be on show during the WA Police Expo at the Joondalup Police Academy. The public is invited to come along and see the biggest display of police resources in one location.
Specialist units from across the agency will be on display such as Bomb Squad, Tactical Response Group, Major Crash Investigators and Police Recruiting, giving the public an opportunity to interact one-on-one with police from a variety of backgrounds.
A live demonstration of a simulated riot scenario involving 30 to 50 role players will give members of the public an opportunity to see firsthand how police would respond to a riot situation in real life. Officers from the Operational Safety and Tactics Training Unit will also perform a high risk vehicle stop and demonstrate the use of a Taser."
