It has been used to catch speeding motorists, drug dealers and a mass murderer but after almost 15,000 flying hours the WA Police Cessna 182 is about to be retired.

Known as Polair 64, the plane has been sold to a private company and replaced with a GA8 Airvan at a cost of $874,000.
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

I took this last Saturday at Jandakot Airport.

Polair64 was being used by ATC so I took a photo. :D

I assume it is the new one, but no signage.
