Not sure how long this has been the case, but the helicopter is no longer trackable on flightaware:

VH-WAH - STATE OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA THROUGH COMMISSIONER OF POLICE (JANDAKOT WA AUSTRALIA)
This aircraft (VH-WAH) is not available for public tracking per request from the owner/operator.

FlightRadar24 also block aircraft at the operator's request. I know they block aircraft for some wealthy Western Australians (mine magnates, Crown Casino etc).
You can still see the aircraft if you run your own receiver and decoder (pretty cheap and easy)

Yep. Having your own ADS-B receiver is the way to go.

Here are my ADS-B receivers:

Plane Finder - http://vk6hgr.net.au:30053/map.html

Raw data (less pretty) http://dump1090.vk6hgr.net.au/

Better tracking sites that don't sensor:

RadarBox24 - https://www.radarbox24.com/@-31.87136,116.57874,z9

Opensky Network (data can be delayed) https://opensky-network.org/network/explorer

ADSBExchange. Have an explicit no-censor policy, but data can be very delayed - https://global.adsbexchange.com/Virtual ... sktop.html
