VOI was seen prob 2 minutes earlier by a Cockburn tasking vehicle whilst sitting at TCL's passing at high speed prob 150 - 200 km/hr, then 000 called and VC102(?) said they think it's the same car - attended scene and confirmed same vehicle. FESA SJA and Turbo (

) on their way

AV208, AV251, VC102, VP102 at scene. Police tow requested - a tilt tray seeing there's not much left of the VN Commodore! Confirmed 215.

Western Power now required - lines down across intersection. Major crash being called. Police at scene unsure if there were 2 or 3 occupants in car. 1 taken via ambo's already (passenger) driver still trapped.

Please tell me it was one of the POI's that was deservedly trapped and/or injured and not some innocent motorist...

Yes, it was the driver trapped. As VKI stated - just desserts then! He must have been going hell fast - VC102 said when they saw him they couldn't make out the number plate only that it was a yellow one and that the vehicle was some shade of blue. They refused to pursue them because they were going way too fast...

as per chickys comment about refusal to pursue.. not all the boys like the rush.

so the only injury was the driver of the speeding car?
no sympathy then. As long as, as someone stated, it wasn't an innocent party.

I only heard of injuries that the passenger had - a broken arm and leg. Once major crash got there not much was said at all to VKI. As far as I know, it wasn't fatal but it sounded like they were really lucky if it was only broken bones!

If major crash was going it usually means more than a few broken bones.

Did you end up getting there, Turbo?

No, was my day off

But it would be unusual for major crash to be called unless someone has died, or their injuries look like they wont make it.

I think they were called mainly because there may have been 3 occupants in the vehicle, although that was unconfirmed. Plus it created huge traffic hassles being that time of night on a Thursday!
