I said this tongue in cheek more as a joke, lets not pick this one to pieces please. I told the story because I believed it was ironic and in some ways amusing, despite the possible seriousness of what was happening and things did calm down as I was leaving.
Well perhaps more care should be taken with jokes if you are concerned of people assuming things in future

George if you were working at the Leedy then you may have seen/heard a couple of cars going past there while in the pursuit.
I was doing 110kmh and he was pulling away from me do he was doing more like 115-120
I was involved in the pursuit and did not hear anything about the Police car on the opposite side of the road but since seeing the newspaper article I will with drawer my comment and appologise.
