Ive noticed pursuits get aborted pretty quick as soon as they run a red light, turn the headlights off or cross onto the other side of the road does anyone else know any other conditions in where a pursuit would be aborted or does it come down to the duty inspectors discretion.

All of the above, and when they speed excessively.

officers in pursuit have to give a set-by-step count of what the other car is doing, wrong way in the other lane etc.
they can't just ignore this to continue the pursuit.
and they must confirm twice that all lights and sirens are off when told to abort.

Sorry to bring this up.. but i havent been on for a couple a days... me and my gf had just come back from a walk when i heard the delta car do its wail... car mustnt have stopped so it did another short wail (yeeooow...) car musta tooked of because all of a sudden they turned on the sirens, so i grabbed the scanner and listened to the chase and it was that chase because it was close to where we were.. pol air did a good job of gettin up so quick.. never heard anything during the chase about any cop cars getting hit tho... when they crossed the rail way line the delta car said that the other vehicle was "fallin apart" as the rear bumper was semi attached  good work by pol air to get up so quickly.. there was no traffic on the road thus why the chase went so long and yeah.. good work by all.
