The police will have to do somthing because otherwise they will be waiting a hell of a long time for a tow truck to clear the roads. We will just have to see how it go's

RB102 to bunbury base. Go ahead. Do you guys want chicken treat or hungry jacks for tea?

rofl :) I grew up in Bunbury. Most of the time they use mobile phones for anything interesting, the rest of it is food runs or name/vehicle checks

Find the earlier post where Analogue will not be turned off, Didgital is only for Jobs to be sent on Tardus to specific officers/cars that they dont want the public to know about, Certain Analogue convo's will continue for many years. there are too many rumers, the above info is a repeat that came from top brass some months ago. stay tuned.

Well there you go, all over red rover.

It still seems like yesterday that I brought my first scanner and eagerly set up the Police channels (1990 - I was still at High School). Within a few days I was hooked and basically trained my body to wake at all hours of the night to the sound of sirens and the word ‘urgent’ being called over the air.

Charlie 597 and 598…….respect! “Charlie 597, will you find the nearest phone box and call triple zero, the duty inspector would like a wordâ€

I agree with Walks it is sort of sad and definetley the end of an era.

Mind you scanning police these days is alot different from the early 90's. In 1993 there were nearly 600 pursuits in Perth. Whilst it is always said that crime is on the "rise" I believe that Perth in the early to mid 90's was far more out of control than it is these days, plus things like pursuits were done a bit more differently (picture Canning Hwy x Petra St, Nth Fremantle to Canning Hwy x Berwick St, Vic Park in sub 5 minutes).

BTW seems that for some reason the analogue patch is back for Central Metro. I have been listening to both VKI and vehicles on Ch34 since about 2130 02/06. It is now 0100 03/06 and still going.

I didn't hear anything on 34 to and from work today at all. I have been listening to FESA and SJA but of course they are boresville unfortunately.

EDIT: Driving home tonight I heard a police car P2 closeby, thought oooo I should tune in. Then it hit home.
