Gav/Dougie,

How about just letting ending the argument and removing the number plate details?

I think that's all Danny was after in the first place and I don't think he was asking too much.

The point here is that their ain't many blue Commodores getting around Perth with the said number-plates.

cheers

I agree Tom , when it became obvious that ConstableCare was refusing to remove the vehicle details from the original thread , even when asked by serving a member, then Bonez mate you really should have stepped up and done your job here. It really wasnt too much to ask and would have saved us from all the name calling garbage that followed...and without doubt will continue to follow.
Either remove the posts or remove the word responsible from the top of the page , because right now we are all looking a little bit silly.
Im sorry if i sound a little cranky but the missus just forced me to watch an episode of Men in trees...aaaarrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

The only problem I have is with people who get a bit of sand in their vagina and complain about the release or posting of this information being obstruction or hindering when in fact the entire purpose of this site should be considered more of a hindrance or obstruction.
Mate as far as I am concerned its all said and done.
A post was put on, it was asked to be edited and that is that. You say you see where I am coming from and I see where you are coming from. End of story.
Unfortunately as soon as people have a disagreement others step in and call it a fight. I see nothing wrong with people having a disagreement, even if it becomes heated as long as it stays in control. It makes for interesting reading.
At the end of the day this site has suprised me with the genuine people that contribute. From a Police point of view, I enjoy interacting with people who have an interest in what we do and I have spoken to Danny and others and they feel the same. Some bosses dont agree with sites like this but as long as they are not controversial I am happy to contribute.
Anyway I have said enough so lets get back to interesting discussions.

For the umpteenth time, if any member has a problem with the content of a particular post, they must bring it to the attention of a moderator or admin via private message.

We're not psychic and we don't all read every post in every thread, so don't count on a mod or admin "doing their job" if they don't know about it.

PLEASE everybody, the correct way to fix a problem post is to send a message to a mod or admin. Complaining in the thread doesn't achieve anything and just provokes arguments...

Thankyou for clearing that up Doug. I was under the impression that it was the job of a forum moderator to actually read all the posts in all the threads in an effort to quell the uprisings from the peasants. This is what happens in most of the other forums i read and this forum really does not recieve that many posts each day. I read every post of every thread everyday and i kinda figured that you guys did the same. Now I know how the system works you will not hear another word of complaint from me.

I can understand that perception and to be truthful I do try and read as many posts as I can every time I log on.

But over the Christmas / New Year period for example, I only logged on once every three or four days, so I just picked the thread titles that looked interesting rather than read through all of them.

However, I've got the board configured to send me an email whenever someone sends a private message, so if there's someone wanting to draw my attention to a particular thread or post, I find out about it much faster.

Hope this helps forum members see how things work in the background. I don't know how the other mods/admins do things but I'd guess it's something similar.

So ... to recap ... if you want me to take a look at something, private message is the quickest way of getting my attention :)

Cheers,

Also if the car reeks of Police how come it gets so many good pinches. The short time I worked in that car we got cars passing us at anywhere from 30-50 K's over the limit and the best one was a guy doing 183 in a 70 zone, thats why we dont want desriptions or number plates(even partial) because its cars like that which get the idiots off the road before they kill innocent people. Like your or my family. Just a thought.
=D> nicely put Robo

But the undercover cop cars do reek police all over em generally (not always), specially if u know how to pick em.

Been noticing a few undercover cop cars now with alloys- bout time!
Be better if they were plain clothed cops in the cop cars that look more like civvy cars- make it a lot harder to pick em and help in more "pinches"

Be good to see if WAPOL Keeps experimenting with new cars. Be even better to see some more Dodgers out there - That weren't Holden or Ford...

Dead easy to pick an unmarked if you know what to look for in the first place...

Regardless of whether it's a Ford, Holden, Toyota, Mitsy....

VY and VZ's were a classic.
