From what I heard, he didn't commit any offence, other than fail to stop, until he hit the freeway. It almost worked. The pursuing car was almost out of fuel.

Any one that tapped in the head needs to be locked up, why would you run if you have nothing to hide.

I would, even if there was no legislation. I carry red cyalumes and cable ties in my car. Strap them to anything, including people if you need to.
Maybe the towie was wearing Safety Sandals :)
No just open toe and sides pommie leather sandals

Reply from Worksafe..

Thank you for your very interesting email regarding the traffic incident.

You are correct the Police Officer and Tow Truck Operator should have been wearing a reflective vest. However worksafe can only act when the hazard is ongoing. As this accident has been cleared and the police officer is no longer there, the hazard has been removed.

In regard to the tow truck driver not wearing protective shoes. There is no legal requirement for tow truck drivers to wear enclosed shoes. This is up to the Police Officer on the scene. He must assess the hazards and decide if protective footwear is required.

I also got a cc of that Worksafe email. My part contained a portion that must have been deleted from yours.

" Please continue to be nosey and tell us about meaningless stuff that has nothing to do with you, because honestly we have nothing better to do. One suggestion the Worksafe crew can give you for next time is drink a big cup of concrete and harden the f.k up, after all we have to spot the hazard every time we open our emails.

Missing 5 yr old girl

Post by jasonjag »

Good news after Ch 21 had 4 cars searching all around Morley from 6pm, namely the Galleria shopping center for a missing 5 yr old girl, eventually it appears some one found her and to her took Central Police Station, where the good news broke.
