Quick question  are you sure it was a Nissan? seen TE450 today which was sitting at a truck stop in Wubin, it was either a Ford Courier super cab or Mazda Bravo super cab. Has the box on the back which they sleep in and has seperate blue and red bubble beacons on the front corner of the box.

CC, was GC105 a normal sedan or did it have a pod? I heard that car for the first time the other night. I'll have to chase that one up for some pics.

ZO100_marto, yep that's what I wrote down. I wrote it down immediately after seeing it. Did you see my pic of TE455 that I posted the other week??

Been out in the country for the last couple of days at our place in Toodyay, went for a bit of a drive on the way home today.

Saw the following cars:

YE201-VZ traffic sedan with spots and VLB

YW101-4WD Rodeo with HF/Codan aerial on the back cage
YW201-VZ traffic sedan with spots and VLB with HF/Codan

YD101-4WD Rodeo with HF/Codan aerial on the back cage
YD201-new VZ traffic sedan with spots and VLB with HF/Codan

YJ101-Toyota Landcruiser p/carrier 'Costal pack' with HF/Codan
YJ201-VZ SV6 traffic sedan with VLB, brand new only picked it up yesterday

YF101-4WD Rodeo

Will post some pics on oz_pol later, the rest i'll send to the usual crew.

Nup missed that one...just got back from driving to Darwin and back again so have had limited net time over the past weeks :D

Where was the post with the pic? Got any pics of the setup of the box on the back?? no doubt a squeeze although I've heard they make super bucks being away :P

VKI police vehicles and call signs

Post by AustDave »

Great spreadsheet,
Thought I would let you guys know the old call sign for multanova's has now chnaged from Tango Bravo (TB20x) to Tango Echo (TE 4xx) The two that I have heard in my area are TE417 and TE419.

Over the next few months there will be a number of changes in the callsigns to allow for the new radio communications when it comes on line.

The other thing pple should be aware of is the TE (highway pusuit vehicles) [silver commodores], have had a recent addition to thier light bar. There is now a thin bar on top of the light bar, this is actually a front/rear scanning radar bar. I have yet to find out any information about it apart from the fact they can read your speed as you approach them or drive away from them.

This unit is replacing the old Falcon mobile mounted radar unit
The shortest distance isn't always the direct route

JC601-is a new MPF

Had a quick sticky in the City this arvo out front of Curtin and saw GC101, 104, 107, 111, 112, 113, 119 and GC121 but no GC105.

GC104 is also a new car.

Somebody posted on here recently that they saw TE207 on here and that it was a Highway Patrol SV6. I saw it this arvo in East Perth and it was the same old VZ with the .05 markings. :?

cheers

Yeah TheDoc, I think you are seeing things.

JA103 is the old WT901 with new call-sign markings, saw it this morning on Forrest rd at a prang. The read LED light-bar looks awesome in the dark. I guess they had to allocate it somewhere so Armadale drew the longest straw.

I would of thought that Central would of been a good place for it, with it's 4 officer carrying capabilites. Nevermind hopefully we'll see some more Crewmans.

JA105 was also there, for a new car it looks mighty bashed around.
