Thought I'd give you all an update on how my application has ended.
I got my letter to say I don't meet the admission requirements at this stage.
Spoke to a really nice lady in recruiting who told me that I can re-apply in 12 months as it had not told me in my letter that I had to wait 18 months!
I asked a bunch of questions asking if I should study some criminology to help me gain entrance and her reply was that it will not help me. Although she suggested taking up volunteer work, which I already do (Volunteer FF).
All in all apparently they have more than likely knocked me back due to life experience. she said like the age of 24 and up, but on second application 22 and up. I'm 20 so I can re-apply mid way thru next year and will be nearly 22.
So will give you an update next year when I put my second application in.
Not giving up. Policing is my dream job!

Perhaps when doing Volley work you may consider those jobs that have a huge Customer Focus role...

Sounds suss. A bloke I know got in this year and he is only 19.
well done on actually having the guts and stepping forward kate, takes a lot of determination knowing what you want at a young age and making a commitment to sticking to it! good luck with the re-ap, let us know how you go.

Hey all thougt i'd update you all on my progress....
Today i got the letter of the good sort stating that i start at the academy on July 5th... (upon passing the physical test again). I have to complete the physical on April 30th.
Im pretty excited and hope all goes well in 2 weeks!
