Getting way to use to this one. Didnt get called even though its way in our area and not far from secret harbours. Lucky nothing happened on the strip. I am sure that is why hope valley is there for in the first place.

There was a fatal crash on Albany Hwy + Admiral Rd in Bedfordale this morning. Apparently a road roller went into a ditch on the side of the road and the male driver who was trapped subsequently died.

Pretty sad really.. thats close by to me.
Can't say Ive heard of a TA like this happenin before? :-s

I heard about that on the news tonight. I think they said that it was the 16th accident involving mobile plant in the last five or so years.

So while it's by no mean a daily occurrence, it does happen.

Sounded like a serious TA at Cragie Dr x Marmion, a handful of vehicles on scene and blocking traffic. Also picked up three AG/GC cars doing an ambulance escort on that channel.

Not sure if this is related, but heard a plane (Non - RFDS) land at Perth Airport with a Med emergency from Up north - Something about a burns victim from the Plane Crash in Indonesia - they had SJA their (Domestic Airport) and am sure the GC cars were assisting SJA for a P1 transport to Royal Perth Hospital with the lady - Not sure if this is all tied in....

Mother 'holding' injured baby

March 08, 2007 10:00am

A TWO-week-old baby is fighting for life after being critically injured while sitting on his mother's lap when the family car was in a serious traffic crash last night.

A one-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl in the same car were also injured. All three are being treated at Princess Margaret Hospital .

Police said none of the children were properly restrained in baby seats.

The newborn boy was today in a critical condition and on life-support. The other two children were also being treated at PMH but their injuries are not life-threatening.

Police spokesman Ros Weatherall said the crash happened at about 10pm when a Mitsubishi utility collided with the family's Holden Commodore at the intersection of Marmion Ave and Craigie Dve in Craigie.

The utility was turning right onto Marmion Ave when the crash happened.

The children's parents were treated for minor injuries before being taken to PMH to be with the injured infants.

The 28-year-old utility driver, from Edgewater, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Major Crash Investigators urged anyone who saw the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

I see a lot of kids crawling around on the back seats of moving cars. I have 5 brothers and we ALWAYS had our seatbelts on.
Its all fine and dandy until you get into an accident and your child flies into the windscreen... :(
