I remember that, It was a funeral. From memory they (the bikies) applied for a permit, or got permission, resulting in them getting an exemption from wearing a helmet. I am not sure who they applied to whether it was the Govt. or the Police Service.

I remember there was a lot of press hype over it blowing it out of proportion.

Chev4evr appears to be a copper perhaps he could shed some light on this?

I vaguely remember this too.

I think it may have been for that 'CC' OMCG bikie who got killed in that shooting in Welshpool a couple of years back..

I think the issue at the time was 'bikies being above the law' being able to cruise around without helmets on or something like that...
