Interesting re the screens. Hope the boys like having heavy breathing in there ears as thats what they will get. ( however i will try to contain myself )

I guess that they will be good for non-operational, but when it comes to the op stuff give them what they need.

I can't understand why they can't disable the side airbags.

Gonna cost WAPOL $$$$ buying additional rear cages to replace the pod cars.

Do all the cars have the screens fitted ? and do they transport POI's or still go in a secure van and not a car as such.

Either way be interesting for someone to grab some pics when there on the road.

Are the WRX's just for traffic operations ? same goes for the Astras or going to be mixed into the fleet like ie" astras replacing a few sedans etc.

They said TE and CD (MIGs) will not change to the new vehicles. These new vehicles will most likely replace GD's only.

with the pod / screens i dont think money should be the issue here , they just spent $60 million on a digital radio network , they knew they were getting new cars because its not like karl woke up one morning and said "lets buy some new patrol cars"

I think you would find these cars will do duties like APLO's, community policing etc. where high powered cars are not needed, not all frontline tasking...............................
