Fair bit of action on North-west Metro tonight.

NX103 a 4WD Mitsy Triton just had a short failing to stop of a trial-bike on Alexander drive.

Called up P2 driver and Class 3 vehicle.

cheers Tom

Very short pursuit heard on Bakers Hill (Northam) channel - LB201 pursuing a small car which then lost it on the gravel on a bend. I lost the repeater shortly after so don't know the outcome.

Also heard NW111 (?) pursuing a motorbike but was told by VKI to abort when it said it was a class three vehicle, P2 driver.

Plenty of action of ch21 last night.

ZM103 called up around 2142 for a quick 'hot-list' on that stolen BMW 3-series that's was seen up in the Northern suburbs earlier in the day.

Then called up urgent as they were pursuing the vehicle. Went thru Tuart Hill, Balcatta, Karrinyup, Trigg then back up Karrinyup rd, Huntriss road and UQ108 took over from ZM103 in Innaloo and then lost the vehicle straight away in back-streets!!

VKI issued Priority pursuit to both ZM103 and UQ108 went for a good 5 minutes.

Love it when you can hear the engines being flogged over the radio.

Then a short time later, AZ210 called up urgent with a aggressive drunk, 2 cars ZM103 and UQ115 issued priority 2 to assist then upgraded to priority 1 then downgrounded back to P2 as other cars arrived on the scene.

Finally some action on ch21.

That chase earlier in the week only 1 CD car got rammed the other was AZ204.

Yeah caught that one too :) I really liked the way VKI kept telling the other cars to stay off the radio, just move towards that area and let the lead car call, he barely let anyone else speak, just kept on telling them to monitor and stay close....it was dissappointing that they lost him...maybe next time.

I believe they may have found the car concerned dumped early this morning.

That VKI operator is a top operator, he was very professional and even thanked ZM103 for doing a superb job calling the chase.

Just a pity UQ108 got involved otherwise it might have gone for a bit longer.

cheers

Is that the operator who told one of the cars that was heading to the scene to downgrade, "Don't put yourselves in more danger than you need to" when it was raining?
Did he have a slight English accent?
If so, Yep I like him too. :D

Last night I heard a Priority One escort on channel 2/8.

VKI was asking for any Priority Pursuit Drivers in the Armadale area to go up to the Armadale Kelmscott Hospital to assist SJA with a priority escort to PMH.
One of the JA cars had a priority pursuit driver in it so they went there but had to swap cars with a car that was already at the hospital because their car wasn't suitable. I can't remember the callsign that ended up doing the escort, possibly JA104..

I haven't heard anything like it before, each time they approached traffic lights they told VKI as they cleared the lights and some other cars did intersection blocks if they were in the area where the escort was passing through.

Did anyone else hear, or heard of this sort of thing before?

Yeah have herd this a few times, its a common practise when a Ambo needs a straight run with no hickups. I remember one the police where providing a escort from up north somewhere, and when the escort got to midalnd area they where blocking off all of the intersections, they where leap frogging each other, very intersting to listen too, however during this VKI was asking them for updates and stuff, like speed, one car came on and said the speed limit is 100 and we are doing like 140, and said it was the only way they could stay in front of the escort, it all sounded very proffesional.
