In case you didn't realise, my last comment was a joke rather than a serious remark.
My point being there is a fine balance to be maintained between the 'good and bad' amongst society.
That said, I do believe our cops do a pretty good job when it comes to dealing with reckless sorts like these.

It may be the wrong attitude, but if you think about it, its true. Its a necessary evil. If there were no "bad people" there would not be a need for Policing, at least in regards to the criminal justice aspect of it; which is the main role of policing as it is today.
Guys, yet another interesting chase - Even made the morning news on 94.5.
POI stole keys from a party - confronted by party goers - he pulls a knife and escapes... later around 9:45pm - a JK vehicle who happened to be in the South Perth, gave chase....they ended up sending upto 10 cars on this chase which ended on the corner of Loftus street in Leederville next to the train station....
A unit asked to have a van to convery POI - VKI responded that they already had 10 cars there - and said "Is none of them a Van"??? he sounded very frustrated, but a UQ van, from City West came in and helped. phew
anyone know the outcome of the commodore being chased last night around 12ish down kwinana freeway? was driving at the time and ppl were talking so i missed a bit
last nite on channel 8 there was heaps of chases. no one got caught ay except that commodore up the freeway, and some guy on a motor bike that fell off his bike. there was at leat 6 chases some were short some were long
